Supernova SN2007uy is found by Yoji Hirose 31.12.2007. Despite of that it is not latest named supernova of year 2007. After that is named SN2007uz found by Lulin observatory, it is found nearly 24 hours earlier, though. Year 2007 had been found 584 supernovae, which is new record. Supernova SN2007uy has been observed at THO 3/4.1.2008 by Veli-Pekka Hentunen and Markku Nissinen.
