XO-3b is orbiting a F5V type of star. The star is located about 850 light years from the Earth. The transit of the XO-3b was observed at Taurus Hill Observatory 15./16.2.2011. The duration of the transit was, according the measurements, 168.8 minutes and the dimmening of the star was 9.7 mmag.
