Taurus Hill Observatory research team members Veli-Pekka Hentunen and Markku Nissinen observed comets C/2008 J1 (Boattini) and C/2007 W1 (Boattini) 9./10.8.2008 at Taurus Hill Observatory.

Comet C/2008 J1 (Boattini). Comet was near the North Star at the moment of the photographing and it had a brightness of 10,5 magnitudes.

Comet C/2007 W1 (Boattini). Comet was visible with the binoculars in the East sky about 30 degrees abowe the horizon at 02:00. The brightness of the comet was about 7,5 magnitudes.
