Supernova SN 2009bw discovered at Taurus Hill Observatory

Markku Nissinen, Esa Heikkinen and Veli-Pekka Hentunen made the third supernova discovery for the year 2009 27./28.3.2009 when they observed the supernova SN 2009bw in the galaxy UGC 2890. The brightness of the SN 2009bw was about 16 magnitudes when discovered. The type of the supernova, according to measurements, is type II.
